These square format tiles are made with centuries-old techniques; they’re handmade, and twice-fired in a wood-burning kiln. Emery’s rich, dark metallic color and beautifully uneven surface can only be achieved through its genuine handmade production process. The handcrafted tiles of the Emery collection are made using deliberately slow production techniques, with each tile taking more than 30 days from start to finish. Made sustainably in Italy, this collection features five colorways in square and subway formats, allowing you to mix and match for endless pattern and palette possibilities. The process begins with high-quality rock clay. Once purified, it is pressed into wooden molds, then left to air dry for several weeks. Once dry, the clay is fired in a wood burning kiln for 36 hours, hand glazed, and fired again for 20 more hours. Pre-sealing helps protect it from moisture damage, stains, and general wear. Trim in .5×8 1/4 round bullnose available in colors; orange, white, bronze, mixed metallic, copper, yellow, blue, and selenium red.
